ext4
The Extended 4 Filesystem, or Ext4fs, is the logical successor to Ext3fs which in turn was an improvement upon Ext2fs.
btrfs
Btrfs is designated as the "next generation filesystem" for Linux. Ext4 will be used for some time, but Btrfs offers highly desirable features such as proper writable shapshots etc..
